Reading blogs at 800 MPH

I took a long needed vacation last week and came back to the usual firestorm of post-vacation pile-up that makes one pause before entertaining the idea of another break. Anyhow, after meeting a few high priority deadlines, I had time this afternoon to review everything posted to our TeamPage server in the last 2 weeks.

After moving at a rate of 800 Messages Per Hour, for one hour, I am up to date and am only left with the 12 browser tabs that I launched for further review in the process.

The average over the time period, 80 articles or comments per day, is fairly normal for us yet it's still not hard to keep up with the message flow and routine email. On a busy day, we'll see as many as 161 new articles and comments (plus edits, attachments, tag changes and so on - see All in a Day's Work - The Magnitude of Collaboration).

Being able to stay on top of things and keep my e-mail box clean is just one way that I Address the Question of Enterprise 2.0 ROI.
